The world’s leading manufacturer of auto parts and components, Belgium’s Bossar Group’s first factory in Chongqing, was officially put into production on the 6th. This is Bossar’s 68th plant in the world and its first factory in China.
Bosal Chongqing Plant is located in Dadukou District of Chongqing City. It covers an area of ​​2,700 square meters and is dedicated to the production of new automotive emission control systems and supporting components. The factory is equipped with the latest technology production lines, including laser welding machines and CNC roller forming machines. The reporter saw on the scene that with these advanced equipment, five workers could produce a car exhaust system within 4 minutes and 35 seconds. According to Liu Zuhui, general manager of the plant, the industry average needs to use more than 30 minutes. The factory said that the Bossar Chongqing plant will provide 45,000 new emission systems to Changan Suzuki in 2014, and plans to increase annual production to 110,000 units in four years.
Concerned about the issue of automobile exhaust pollution that is of concern to the Chinese public, Johan VandeVen, Director of Automotive Emissions Systems Division of Bossar Group, said that Bossar is working to reduce the emission of harmful substances by reducing the weight of products and reusing the exhaust gas of automobiles. Liu Zuhui said that the exhaust system produced by the Bossa Chongqing plant can bring emission standards to Euro 4 levels, which is higher than the Euro 3 standard in Beijing, China.
Dr KarelBos, founder and chairman of the Bossar Group, said that the production of the Chongqing plant marks a new page in the history of the Bossar Group. Bossar CEO Aad Goudriaan revealed that the group plans to set up a state-of-the-art R&D center in China and plans to open more factories in China.
