In China, the power consumption of the pump system accounts for more than 20% of the total electricity consumption. The electricity consumption in the petroleum and chemical industries accounts for 13.7% of the total electricity consumption in China, and a considerable proportion of the electricity is used in pump systems. He pointed out that a considerable part of the current domestic petrochemical industry's process pump technology is relatively backward, with lower operating efficiency and reliability, which not only wastes energy, but also results in short pump life due to severe equipment loss and endangers safety production.

According to Zhao Zhiming, vice chairman of the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, toxic, hazardous, flammable, and explosive media are often transported during the production of petroleum and chemical products. Traditional mechanically sealed pumps are often difficult to completely eliminate running, running, and dropping. Leakage phenomenon not only causes economic losses, but also has great harm to the surrounding environment and the health of employees. Statistics show that safety and environmental accidents caused by running, running, dripping, and leaking in the petrochemical industry accounted for nearly half of the total accidents in the past decades.

According to reports, after many years of technical research, our country's researchers have developed their own non-leakage pump products. Non-leakage pumps have been used in China for giant 40,000 tons/year cyclohexane, Zhenhai refinery 450,000 tons/year benzene extraction, Shanghai Takahashi dispersion BASF 200,000 tons/year styrene-butadiene latex, Sichuan Haotian Among the many projects including Huatian BDO, Qilu Petrochemical Epichlorohydrin, Shanghai Secco BD, Shanghai BASF Tetrahydrofuran, Jilin Petrochemical Methyl Isobutyl Keton Project, etc., provided technical support for the development of green chemical industry and promoted chemical industry development. However, the Industrial Pump Research Institute of Zhejiang University of Technology Industrial Engineering Yu Jiegang pointed out that the current overall level of pump technology in China is low, compared with foreign countries, 20 to 30 years behind, no leaking pumps, coal chemical industry diaphragm pumps and miscellaneous pumps and other sophisticated Pump technology is basically controlled by foreign monopoly.
