Failure analysis: ZK8206 CNC boring machine adopts a spiral chip remover for the center hole drilling machine. The machining chips fall along the inclined plane of the bed and fall into the groove where the spiral chip conveyor is located. When the screw rod rotates, the screw shaft rotates. Chips are continuously moved forward by the screw rod and finally discharged into the chip collection box. When designing the machine tool, in order to separate the cutting fluid in the waste during the lifting process, a 160-mm-diameter and 350-mm-long cylindrical discharge port is installed at the outlet of the chip conveyor. The discharge port is inclined upward by 30°. During the trial run of the machine tool, a large amount of chips are blocked at the chip outlet and the motor overload alarm. The reason is that during the lifting process, the chips are rubbed against the inner wall of the cylindrical discharge port and are squeezed into each other, and gather in the discharge port of the cylinder.

Troubleshooting: After changing the cylindrical chip evacuation port to the horn-shaped chip evacuation port, the cone angle is greater than the friction angle, and troubleshooting is eliminated.
