According to the "Opinion Draft", Chengdu has set two goals. The basic goal is to develop according to the conventional model. By 2020, the city will build more than 110,000 charging piles, the overall pile-to-vehicle ratio will reach 1:1.1; the charging (changing) power station will be 755, and the public pile-to-vehicle ratio will be no less than 1:8. The service coverage rate is over 70%, meeting the charging needs of at least about 120,000 electric vehicles. The goal of the struggle is to develop according to the leap-forward mode. By 2020, the city will strive to achieve the construction of 200,000 charging piles, and the service capacity of high-charge (changing) power stations to meet the charging needs of not less than 200,000 electric vehicles, public charging. Service coverage reached 80%.
According to the "Opinion Draft", as of the end of 2015, the city's electric vehicles promoted the application of 6,840 vehicles, accounting for 0.18% of the city's car ownership; a total of 1,701 types of charging piles were built in the city area, and 9 battery distribution stations, bus wireless 1 charging station. However, the current usage rate of charging and replacing facilities is low.
According to the “13th Five-Year Development Plan for Chengdu New Energy Automobile Industryâ€, the scale of promotion and application of electric vehicles in the city by 2020 is expected to reach 200,000 units. It is estimated that by then, the number of electric logistics vehicles will increase by about 4,000, and the number of electric passenger vehicles will increase by about 400. The number of other electric vehicles such as private cars, official vehicles and rental vehicles will increase by about 59,000 to 80,000.
