Tailings treatment method

According to the different mineral processing methods, the main difference is the difference in tailings properties. There are different ways to handle tailings. The current comprehensive utilization of tailings resources at home and abroad can be summarized as the following ways:

1. First of all, we should try our best to comprehensively recycle the useful components of tailings resources, and use advanced technology and reasonable technology to re-select the tails to maximize the recovery of useful components in the tailings, which can further reduce the amount of tailings. . Some concentrators are developing towards tailings.

2. Tailings are used as filling materials for underground mining mined areas of mines, that is, aggregates filled with water sand or cemented. The tailings are used as filling materials for the goaf. The most ideal filling process is the full tailings filling process, but it is still in the experimental research stage. The production uses the coarse fraction in the tailings as the filling of the goaf. After the tailings of the ore dressing is discharged, the tailings preparation section is sent for classification, and the coarse sand part is sent to the gob area, and the fine part is stored in the tailings storage. This tailings treatment method has been applied at home and abroad.

3. Using tailings as raw materials for building materials: making cement, silicate tailings brick, tile, aerated concrete, cast stone, refractory material, glass, ceramsite, concrete aggregate, glass-ceramic, slag brick, Foam glass and foam, etc.

4. Use the tailings to build roads, pavement materials, non-slip materials, and coastal fields.

5. Covering the soil on the tailings dumping site, planting crops or planting trees.

6. The tailings heap is stored in a specially constructed tailings pond. This is the most widely used tailings treatment method in most concentrating plants.

Familiar examples include gas cylinders for cooking and for welding, oxygen cylinders for diving and many of the large metallic tanks that you see in an oil refinery or chemical plant.

There is a huge range of different chemicals and liquid that that stored and processed under pressure. These range from relatively benign substances such as milk and palm oil to crude oil and natural gas and their distillates to highly lethal acids and chemicals such as methyl isocyanate. So of these processes need the gas or liquid to be very hot, whilst others contain it at very low temperatures. As a result there is a wide variety of different pressure vessel steel grades that meet the different use cases.

In general these can be divided into three groups. There is a group of carbon steel pressure vessel grades. These are standard steels and can cope with many applications where there is low corrosion and low heat. As heat and corrosion have more effect on the steel plates chromium, molybdenum and nickel are added to provide additional resistance.

The manufacture of pressure vessels is tightly regulated as a result of the risks involved and as a consequence the materials that can be used in vessels is also tightly specified. The most common specifications for pressure vessel steels are the EN10028 standards – which are European in origin – and the the ASME/ASTM standards which are from the US.
