On June 2nd, the plug-in hybrid vehicle green certification conference was held in Tianjin.

The “Green Certification for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles” project was implemented by Tianjin Huacheng Certification Center, and the National Car Quality Supervision and Inspection Center was responsible for testing. The project evaluates the plug-in hybrid vehicle from the aspects of battery life, fuel consumption, emissions/noise, electromagnetic radiation, charging performance and power performance. After the press conference, the green certification of plug-in hybrid vehicles will be officially launched, and the first batch of certification results will be officially released in the second half of 2016.

“Green certification for plug-in hybrid vehicles” is the first voluntary certification program for green products in new energy vehicles in China. Wang Kun, a member of the Certification and Supervision Department of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration, said: According to the overall requirements of the national “complete and unified green product standards, labeling, certification and other systems to carry out green product evaluation”, the National Certification and Accreditation Administration Committee has undertaken “developing green products”. The work of certification and identification integration program will establish a unified “China Green Product” conformity assessment system. After the establishment of the unified “China Green Product” conformity assessment system in the future, the green certification of plug-in hybrid vehicles will also be incorporated into the national unified system.

At the press conference, Wu Zhixin, deputy director of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, announced the formal implementation of the “Green Certification for Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles” project. Wu Zhixin said: “Green certification for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles” is a voluntary product certification project that responds to the reform of the national supply side and is subject to the supervision of the State Certification and Accreditation Administration. It aims to guide technological progress through a high standard, authoritative and fair evaluation system. Promote the green development and technological upgrading of plug-in hybrid vehicles and enhance the level of industrial internationalization.
