The performance of diesel generators is closely related to diesel combustion

The diesel generating set obtains the generator's electric energy through the combustion of diesel, thereby generating electric energy to meet the normal demand for the power supply. Therefore, the performance of diesel generators is closely related to diesel combustion. If the diesel fuel consumption rate of the diesel generator set is high to help the unit or enterprise using the diesel generator set to reduce the cost of power generation, it becomes a concern of the customer.

A good way for diesel generator brand technicians to improve fuel consumption is to adjust the unit's fuel supply system. That is, after the diesel generator has been working properly for 400 hours or the fuel injection pump-governor assembly. The correction of the refueling advance angle is performed when the reassembly is corrected. The adjustment method of the fuel advance angle is as follows:

First, remove the high pressure tubing from the first cylinder of the fuel injection pump-governor assembly and lock the handle on the governor to the rated fuel supply position of the diesel generator set.

Next, the flywheel is toggled in the direction of operation of the diesel generator. During the rotation, the fuel supply of the first cylinder of the injection pump is observed. When the oil level of the first cylinder is found to have just fluctuate, the rotation of the crankshaft is stopped.

Finally, if the degree of fuel supply on the flywheel corresponding to the pointer on the flywheel housing does not match the specified fuel supply angle of the model diesel engine, loosen the two locking screws on the injection pump coupling plate, and then turn the crankshaft so that the pointer is correct. Within the quasi-specified range, tighten the two fixing screws.

Adjusting the diesel generator set oil supply system can ensure that the diesel fuel consumption rate is rated, which not only improves the performance of the diesel generator set but also saves costs for the customer.
