This Catalogue of Encouraging Imported Technologies and Products will increase policy support for the introduction of four major areas, including energy resources, advanced technologies, important strategic materials, and high-tech products. At the same time, China will increase its support for imports of domestically-imported advanced technology equipment and important materials in the form of discounted imports.

The Ministry of Commerce has also revised and improved the administrative measures for the import and export of mechanical and electrical products and the implementation details; it revised the Measures for the Administration of the Import of Electromechanical Products, the Implementation Rules for the Administration of Automatic Import Licenses for Mechanical and Electrical Products, and the Measures for the Administration of the Import of Key Mechanical and Electronic Products (for Trial Implementation). We will formulate the supporting Catalogue of Imported Key Imported Machinery and Electronic Products as soon as possible.
